Совокупность физ., физ.-хим. и хим. методов анализа сырья, полуфабрикатов и готовой продукции, потребляемых или производимых металлургич. промыш. Виды анализов, методы, техника, реактивы и пр. устанавливаются стандартами и ТУ, обязательными как для поставщика, так и для потребителя. Т. а. охватывает также контроль технологич. процессов на разных стадиях по технологич. регламентам. К т. а. относят и анализ производств, отходов (дымовых газов, шлаков, пыли, отработанных вод и др.).
